August News from Liz-e-Biz

It's hot, hot, hot here in Spain and it's pretty hard concentrating on work, but I've made a start on my e-book about article writing, so you'll get a taster in this newsletter.

This month's news on the Traffic Exchanges:

Contrary to my previous report that Rainforest Clicks was closing down, the new owner is Mr. Brett Phillips, so I'm sure we all wish him luck with his new venture.

Random Riches is moving server but will soon be back up with a huge advertising campaign.

Keep cool!

Successful Article Writing - Starting Out

Writing articles which are acceptable for publication and attractive to humans and search engines alike is not as easy as you might think, but if you follow some simple tips you'll be well on your way.

Are you ready to roll with the punches?
by Mike Paetzold

Are you preparing for the unexpected?

It always seems to happen at the worst possible time. I just sent out a free gift to my subscribers and an hour or so later the network center where my server is hosted goes down due to a power outage.

Ethical E-business Marketing: No Spamming!
by Michael Russell

Spam has a general definition: "unsolicited bulk email". So, if it's just unsolicited, an email is not spam. If it's solicited but bulk, an email is not spam either. What about e-mail newsletters? Are they spam? YES if they are unsolicited and bulk. But they are bad for your business if they are unsolicited too.

July News from Liz-e-Biz

I hope that at least some of you are having a well-earned summer rest but for those that aren't, I trust that these articles help you to continue building and promoting your business.

This month's news on the Traffic Exchanges:

Many of the traffic exchanges including Traffic Roundup and Traffic at the Races, to name but two, have stopped giving referral credits other that at the first level. This is in order to comply with Paypal's terms of service.

For those of you who Celebrate it, have a great 4th July.

Writing Articles - The Reasons by Liz Canham

There are many reasons why you may want to write articles but in terms of publishing for profit, there are really only two.

The first is for direct and immediate profit. In other words, you write the article and someone pays you for it. At this pint, you lose all rights to what you have written, so don't imagine that you can regurgitate even one sentence and re-use it. Of course, you still have the knowledge and are free to continue writing and publishing on the same subject. Just make sure that the content isn't recognisable and that you don't inadvertently use an identical complex sentence to one which was in the article that you sold.

How To Make Traffic Exchanges Work For You by Michael Paetzold

First I would like to explain what a traffic exchange is and how a traffic exchange works. Basically you agree to look at someone else's web page in exchange for having someone look at your page. The ratio of page views you get to page views you view varies depending on the traffic exchange. Most free traffic exchanges will show your page once for every two you view or 2 to 1. There are others that may be 3 to 1 but those usually have bonuses that will make up the difference if you surf a lot of page views.

Online Forums - Why Join Them? by Liz Canham

The internet is an informative and sociable place and nowhere more so than online forums. However, if you're busy with your business, why waste time hanging around in forums?

"I'm far too busy to visit forums" you think when you're spending every free minute building and advertising your website. Well, my advice would be, find the time, you will be amazed how much it benefits your business in the long term.
